I totally forgot to post about these pictures....About two weeks ago I left the house for about an hour to work out. I had literally walked in the door, when Anna, Mallory, Katie (our cousin), and Sydney (our friend) were at my side. I look them over and realize that they have their hair done, new clothes on and my two darling cuties are sporting one heck of a make job. I am about to tell them how cute they all look, when Anna...of course...hits me with this line...."Mom...we all got ourselves ready, because we really want to go walk around the mall and be POPULAR!!!!" I could not help but laugh!!! They want to walk the mall and be popular....hello...they are only 6 years old...were do they come up with this stuff!!! So, of course, being the coolest mom on the block...(you know it's true) I load them all up...along with one studly little Tater man...and we head to not just any mall, but the trendy little hot spot ....SCOTTSDALE FASHION SQUARE...(I have no shame). Thats right folks...me and my squad of 5 entered fashion square mall...probably not the most kid friendly mall, but totally the right mall for being POPULAR!!!! Sporting their most "POPULAR" looking poses!!!! (notice Mallory...she is soooo me!! I am not sure where Anna gets it!!!!)

We had such a fun time...we bought lunch, strutted our stuff, played in the toyland, strutted our stuff, looked in stores...and oh yeah...did I mention...STRUTTED OUR STUFF!!!!!

So...those are my kids pictured above!!! Only 2 out of the 3 will be spotlighted in this post....wanna place any bets on which 2???? Why...my darling, loveable, adorable little girls would be the correct answer. Since not much has been going on since school started, I decided to post a few of the "funnies" my daughters have said this last week. Funnies is of course only if you are NOT ME!!! Oh well...what the heck....the truth hurts....right????

Ok so on the first day of school, being the wonderful, perfect mother that I am...I actually got ready to take Anna to school. We are talking the whole schabang people....hair, makeup, clean clothes!!! So, on the second day of school...being the TRUE ME that I am....I did none of the above. (come on...I don't have to get out of the car...just pull up and drop her off.) Well, Anna apparently wasn't to happy that the real me was back, because she says...

Anna.... (Mumbling) "Mom...your not ready"
Me...."What Anna??"
Anna..." Well, your not ready...your just... dirty"
Me...(Full of disgust) "Anna...what did you say?"
Anna...(Full of truth and honesty) "Well, your just dirty today!!"
Me... "Get the *#*@^&# out of my car"
Totally kidding...I never said *&#*& I did however get her out of my car so I could indeed go home and bask in my dirtiness with ONE LESS KID!!!!

Ok...now on to my next ANGEL.... Mallory, shockingly enough, will be mentioned twice here!!!
So this next one takes place Tuesday Night...just as I am getting ready to leave for alittle girls night out!!
I can hear Anna out talking to Jason on the couch, and he is telling her he isn't going to listen to any tattles... Anna explains that it is NOT a tattle (so totally is a tattle). Anyway I go out and ask Jason and Anna where Mallory is...I find her in her room. Now...use your imagination just a little. Mallory is FOLDING her pajamas (SO NOT MY CHILD), she has taken her hair out, so she is totally sporting the orphan child look, she has the best pout face EVER on her face....I walk into the room and

Me...."Mallory...what's wrong??"
Mallory.... "Anna has just RUINED MY LIFE!!!!"

So sad to be all of 4 years old and have your life ruined....Get ready for a LONG life sweetheart!!!

Ok...Last one takes place last night at dinner....I just picked up the girls from playing at their friend Sydneys house.

Mallory...."I wish Sydneys' mom was MY MOMMY...she is so cute!!""
She QUICKLY realizes her mistake....(maybe because she saw her REAL MOM holding the steak knife!!! totally kidding) anyway...she begins to back pedal QUICKLY....

Mallory..."But so are you mommy, you are really cute too!!!"
Nice try my dear...but the damage is done. Mallory than tells us that she has decided to never get married and to never become a Mommy..I guess that means I am doing a FABULOUS job at home ...right??? Whatever floats her boat...but she is NOT living at home!!!!

OHHHH I totally just remembered one more Anna one...I should not post these, they make me look bad...but I think they will want to remember these...so they can apologize one day...or maybe I will pull them out during their wedding toasts....hey ...payback is SWEET!!!

Anna....(Sitting on the couch, watching a movie, having a late night) (Quietly whispers under her breath) "We have a mad mom"
Me...".WHAT????"
Anna...."We have a mad mommy"
No denying it, no trying to cover her tracks...just plain and simple. I then proceed to remind her of ALL the fun things I do with them and for them and then in true "MAD MOMMY" form....threaten to take it all away!!!!!
I love my kids....hopefully one day they will LOVE ME TOO!!!

1st Day Of School!!!

It was the first day of ALL DAY KINDERGARTEN for my first born child!!! I was a little emotional just thinking about not having her home all day...it is amazing how quickly that can change after having her gone all day, and then having her come back home!!!! I swear she was not home more than 30 minutes before her and her sister were fighting!!! I had to keep telling myself to relax because they would both be in bed in less than 4 hours...I LOVE SCHOOL SCHEDULE!!! Anyway...Anna had a fabulous time and LOVED being in school all day and being able to EAT at school in the cafeteria!!! She told me about all the new friends she made and all the fun things she did...Kindergarten is definately a hit!!! I am so glad that she loves school and I truly do miss having her smiling face at home with us all day. She is a sweet, beautiful little girl (as you will see below) and I love her dearly!!! On a side funny note...we had just dropped Anna off and we were walking back to the car...truly about a 3 minute walk...we make it back to the car and I load Mallory in and start the car...next thing I know, Mallory says to me "I MISS ANNA!!!" Obviously she forgot all about that the second Anna got home,but her comment was very sweet at the time!!! Adorable Anna ready to go to KINDERGARTEN!!!

Ok...once we got home Mallory told me she needed to put on her new school clothes so she could pretty for Daddy like Anna got to be. So...ofcourse I let her, and ofcourse I had to take some pictures of her just like Anna. Please bear in mind as you look at the next group of pictures that SHE and only SHE picked her poses....REPEAT....I had NOTHING to do with the following shots, I was simply the photographer!!! ENJOY!!!!

Yeh...I am a HUGE Twilight fan and proud of it...you gotta problem with that?? I didn't think so. So I was at Walmart Friday night at 11:00 p.m. ...with my posse...waiting for the final book (Breaking Dawn) of the Twilight series. I was so so so excited to get my book. We were probably 10th in line and I was in HEAVEN!!! If you have never read these books....READ THEM NOW....but if yiu haven't, you cannot understand the way I feel!!! Let me explain...just a little. I started the first book after being pressured by my nieces (I OWE THEM FOR OPENING MY EYES TO ALL THAT IS EDWARD!!!) So anyway...by about the 10th page, I was hooked!!! I am not kidding...my poor daughters suffered. Example...Mallory says mommy I am hungry and I respond...you know how to open the cupboards, grab some chips... Anna says...mommy I am thirsty...I respond....get a chair...reach the cups...and use the tap!!! If you think I am kidding...ask Jason. He knows that when I am reading these books, I am dead to the world...the children suffer... the housework suffers...and Jason suffers!!! I however DO NOT, and I DON'T CARE THAT THEY ARE!!!! After I finished the first book, I went into a "whoa is me" depression (so not a joke) I was so depressed about my life...I had a husband...2 sweet girls...a roof over my head...but no EDWARD!!! I had no one loving me so much that I knew my life was in danger!!! Jason would come home and truly have to tell me to SNAP OUT OF IT!!! Oh sure...he tried to cash in on it...Example...come home from work and whisper in my ear that he was EDWARD...try to kiss my neck, whisper lines that I had recited to him...but it was all to no avail...he just couldn't pull it off. Needless to say...I did eventually return to normal...until the next book!!! Lets just say Jason is probably glad that the series is over!!! I however have entered a new depression...a it has all come to an end depression!! At least buying the last book was a blast...and hey THE MOVIE COMES OUT IN DECEMBER!!!! There is joy and rejoicing in the Vance home once again!!! My Twilight hat.....Thanks Tami....I loved wearing it while I bought the book!!!

So I finished the book...and I am proud to say that I am holding my own. I can feel my depression relapsing every now and again...so I just try to occupy my time with other things like...I don't know...MY FAMILY!!! My mind does tend to float back to my darling Edward...and what he and sweet Bella might be doing right now, but I have decided to put my hope and faith into my wish that it is not the end...and that another book is bound to be written...until then...I guess I will always have DECEMBER 12th!!! (THE MOVIE!!!!)

p.s. for those of you who worried for my childrens safety this time around...I was prepared...I bought LOTS of Juice boxes and food that could be reached easily (cereal, crackers, string cheese etc...) and guess what...THEY ALL SURVIVED!!!!

Family fun with the Salt River and Sun!!!!!

Jasons' sister Stephanie came into town last week and we had such a GREAT time with her and her boys. One of our favorite things to do when she comes is go to the Salt River!!! We had such a fun time, floating and talking and eating and doing absolutely nothing!!!! The kids LOVE to go to the river, they think it is the greatest thing ever!!! I love to watch them float their "12 feet" and glow like they just did the whole length of the river!!! They crack me up!!! We collect rocks like they are jewels, they think each rock is so stickin' beautiful that we end up taking home most of the "beach"!!! Anyway...we had a fabulous time. (p.s. If you have a keen eye, you might notice that Tater boy is not in any of the pictures...he stayed home...hence the being able to do absolutely nothing part!!!)
